Best Brokers and Data feed providers for Italian customers

I’m trying to build a reference thread with useful info about the best brokers for Italian customers.

Actually I'm using:
Broker: WeBank (not connected to Multicharts) (20 Euro month)
Datafeed: eSignal (100 Euro month) (190 Days of hisotry on 1 minute data)

I’m mainly trading etfs, by the way sometime even stocks on the Italian makert.

I’m evaluating the possibility to change my actual broker (WeBank) that is not supported to the Multicharts platform, and I’m evaluating IwBank and Cqg. Probably I will also be able to save something on the monthly fees.

Mainly I’m evaluating 3 points:
1) The length of the historic series
2) The monthly fee for the platform (connection to Multicharts)
3) The commissions

IWBank

1) Lenght
Regarding the first point, IWBank seems to have something like 40 days back for a 5 minute chart, and 8 days for a 1 minute chart, really far far away from what declared on the “Supported data feeds” page…

2) Monthly fees
The monthly fee would be about 45 euro (20 for the quicktrade plus 25 for the pei interface)

3) Commissions
On the commission I found It seems that they are able to discount like the 50% on the standard ones.

Would you be so kind to help me to build in this thread a reference for the brokers available for the Italian customers, with your feedbacks and opinions and also with economic conditions.

Grazie.

Hello from France,

MC lacks of support of european brokers, but it seems some efforts are done since the last year.
I hope it will continue! IwBank is italian isn't it? You're lucky :)

I have some experience with eSignal, for realtime + some european feeds you will pay almost 150 euros per month, that's expensive just for the data feeds which are not the best ones...

You will have to pay that if you want to play with Euronext. :'(

Dear Laurent,

Thanks for your answer from France, yes IwBank is an Italian firm.

By the way the best configuration at the moment would be IwBank + e Signal

This means:
IwBank: QuickTrade (20 Eur) + PEI (25 Eur) = 45 Euro month
eSignal: Datafeed only = 100 Euro month
Total = 145 Euro month

I'm trying to figure out how it would be with CQG...
That if I'm not wrong covers even the France market and have no monthly fees...
Their historical data seems to be the best 10 Years...
Do they are free??? (with an account)

Does somebody knows about CQG in europe?

Only futures are currently supported with CQG (source) so currently no Euronext stock data available.

Yes Josh!

You are right the Amp Clearing do not cover the stock market, only futures.
By the way CQG covers it!

And CQG is on the list of the compatible datafeeds...
Source: www.multicharts.com/market-data-feeds/

So I thought it is possible to use CQG at least as data feed provider...
But I was was wrong since CQG alone is not supported as data provider.

They are supported only truough AMP clearing.
Source: www.multicharts.com/market-data-feeds/ should be corrected.

Thanks to a small tip of the Multicharts support I discovered that also IB is now supporting the italian markets.

The conditions are the following:
10.000 USD to open the account.
10 USD month for inactivity fee
1 year of historical data to 30 sec - 6 months to 1 sec.

The closest agent is in Switzerland.

At the moment seems to be a good alternative to IwBank.
Seems to cost less and to have much more historical data.

By the way I'm interested in opinions from Italian customers...
Anyone here?

I have seen that finally the Multicharts dev team have implemented the interface for the broker WeBank, any feedback from the actual customers?
