About opentick history

All,
I've loaded up some opentick symbols in QM with the intention of trying to gauge (don't know how yet) the quality of the data. Three symbols are for closed, historic contracts. One is for the current active month. The current month is fine but I see no data being downloaded for the historic contracts. When i try to edit the data the symbols are empty. However, I can chart the symbols so there is a connection to opentick and data available to retrieve.
How do I get the data to load into QM, and hence my own DB?
