MultiCharts: Trading Software for Automated Trading and Backtesting

When refresh a number of charts, i get the following error, and the charts do not refresh.

[01/25/2007 20:53:29] TWS message: id= 215; errorCode= 162; errorMsg= Historical Market Data Service error message:Historical data request pacing violation


It was fine yesterday and before, i did not change anything.

What's wrong ?

Thanks, i read that thread sometime back.

But it didn't affect me till today.
So i thought something was odd.

I think one major problem is due to how multicharts tries to refresh charts.

If you open up a chart which has gaps in the data, It tries to send many requests to IB simultaneously to filled in each gap.

Say i open up a chart with 5 symbols on it, and there are gaps in each of these symbols, Multicharts will send so many requests to IB that it will take up IB's quota.

Can Multicharts not automatically refresh these gaps, and let users do a reload instead ?
Reload will refresh all data in a chart and these may result in less requests to IB.
