ATTENTION CQG USERS

Dear Users,

Accessing CQG data and order execution services in MultiCharts/MultiCharts .NET has been limited today due to CQG server update issue. Live connection has been restored, while the demo connection is still limited. CQG is aware of the issue and is working on the solution.

Henry,

We are a Special Edition user and are affected by this issue.

There is a gap on our ES data as demonstrated here: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s13/sh/0 ... 0/Xeon.png

Is there a fix available for SE users?

Still unable to load historical intra-day data, this is critical. Please advise any ETA as soon as one becomes available from CQG.

Thank You

Without the ability to access historical data it really doesn't work at all. Any chance of some kind of fix?

Re: ATTENTION CQG USERS

by Stormy
I agree a fix is urgently needed. We are now entering our 2nd trading day without full data available and this renders Multicharts nearly unusable.

Please provide a temporary fix if necessary until CQG works out their issues.
Thank You for your help!

Re: ATTENTION CQG USERS

Unfortunately that is not a typical issue so it requires more time to fix it. If you want realtime minute data to be saved to the local database - you can disable the option "download missing historical data" in MultiCharts->File->Preferences->Data server mode or use the "Collect RT Data w/o Plotting" option of QuoteManager. For more information please see Collecting and Saving Data to MultiCharts Database.

Thanks Henry, I've been doing that from this morning, but that won't fill the gaps I have. I know it was a CQG update that caused this, but it is very frustrating that it is unusable until fixed.

How long do we wait for CQG?

How long do we wait for CQG?
I already asked AMP if we can switch to TT.

Not waiting for CQG to sort themselves out - we don't know how long it will take so the most reasonable approach is to switch to another data provider.

Re: ATTENTION CQG USERS

I don't thing we can run TT through Multicharts for AMP.
We have to use the TT platform only, so we are stuck waiting, without a working platform.

That's news to me - what makes you think that? I thought we have a choice (based on what's in the Platform Setup section of the AMP client portal and the broker profiles that ship with the MC.NET Special Edition for AMP customers).

You can run Multicharts through TT/AMP, but it has no historical data, so you would be no better off. Should be able to run it through rithmic which could be a solution

I didn't know TT had no historical data. Rithmic doesn't appear to be available (not a listed feed in the AMP client portal) so it would seem we are truly stuck waiting for a solution.

TT is fix connection and therefore doesn't offer historical data.

https://www.multicharts.com/market-data-feeds/

You need contact AMP if you want rithmic, you can't select it in the portal. I'm sure if you speak to live chat they'll be able to sort it.

Alternatively just turn off 'download missing historical data' in multicharts and then it'll just save real time data to the database and not refill from cqg. This way you will only have gaps for when you turn off Multucharts. Not ideal, but seems to be the best option.

Thanks Jules, not an option for me to have a gap - I had data until eod Friday but when I go into MC now the most recent historical data is up until Friday morning. My chart signals require a lot of historical data so I'm stuck in the water until this issue is resolved.

Just heard from CQG.

They have just this moment advised me that they are in talks with MC regarding with what previous versions the historical data is working with. So expect a solution imminently.

CQG also advised me that this is the first time that they've had to conduct such an emergency update and have assured me that it'll not happen again.

Hi,

There may be a solution to this issue until CQG fixes this issue. Use the free demo 30 days of OEC for Multicharts, in order to obtain data in realtime and history.

-In Multicharts add OEC as broker
-In Multicharts add OEC as data Source (Quote Manager/Tools/data sources)
-Make a mapping of the symbol you want to trade with your broker (for example: OEC to CQG)
- And voilà !...

Before displaying the history of the OEC symbol you must re-enable "Download missing historical data" If you had removed it. Once the OEC graph displayed you can disable again if you wish.

The only problem is that the demo does not include Eurex! :-(
There are Forex, and Futures markets: CME, CBL, COE, IPE, KFC, FGM, NYM, OSE, SFE, SGX

As I am introducing Global Futures Broker, I can give you codes demo. Send me a request with your email address to: gsconsulting@net2000.ch
I can't enjoy it because I trade the DAX but if you beings on the e-mini is ok... :-)

I'll have to ask MC.NET if they'll grant me another 30 day trial - I am on Special Edition and it can only connect to AMP data feed providers.

Same here, gap from when I shut down on Friday until 13:00 CT yesterday I still can't fill.

Probably best to wait for MultiCharts to communicate that its fixed - I do see more data than I did yesterday but still have a gap that needs to be resolved before things are good for me.

Desperately hoping things will be in order before the start of the regular US session today.

I just tried loading some contracts I've not used before. From what I can tell minute data is missing from Monday evening and Tuesday morning but tick data is OK. So now it looks like a CQG data issue.

I have a gap in my tick data. As of now it seems that most of this week will be a write-off and I am deeply displeased about it.

We've been patient with CQG/MC to get this resolved and I know MC are working hard but I would like them to communicate a clear time for complete resolution of this issue.

CQG are supposed to be leaders in this field and at least via AMP they charge 10c per traded contract above TTNet so I expect them to actually provide a reliable service and for issues to be resolved promptly. This outage is now into its 3rd business day - that's unacceptable.

I have reloaded all of my intraday charts and have historical data filled in now for Friday, Sunday night, and Monday, all which were missing prior. The issue appears resolved.

It seems ok with the e-mini S&P500 but not yet with the futures: DAX, CAC40, Bund !

As of now - it is mostly fixed, but some instruments are still backfilling. You can reload the data on your chart to check if the required instrument/data period is available now.

Hi,

CQG Demo with MC64 seems to work again... but backfill still not perfect.

EUREX Problems: Tested with DDM15, DBM15
Backfilling works BUT the for date Apr 13 and Apr 14 on Eurex products is still not working.
Apr 13th is missing complete Apr 14th half day is missing. Forcing reload to backfill (STRG-R) does not help.

CME Problems: Tested with EPM15
Apr 13th half day missing

CBOT Prblems: Tested YMM15
Apr 13th mssing and Apr 14th half day missing

Any idea when this backfilling will work for the missing 2 days ?

Thx

Dear Users,

All MultiCharts/MultiCharts .NET users are required to install an updater corresponding to their version of MultiCharts from the first post of this thread.

MultiCharts .NET Special Edition users do not require installing any updates.

All users of all MultiCharts/MultiCharts .NET/MultiCharts .NET Special Edition versions are required to reload their charts to backfill the missing data.

Henry,
I have installed the updater again, and reloaded the CAC futures chart. Still no historical backfill for that instrument. CME and Eurex instruments are backfilling, but not the NYSE/Euronext. The current CAC futures contract is expiring tomorrow European time.

When do you think MC will have all the instruments adjusted and missing data backfilled?

Hi,

After re installing the updater (a second time), and reload all data, I can confirm that the DAX Future is now OK. But for the Future CAC40, it still lacks a part of April 10 and all April 13.

Hi Henry, I have some bad news to report: it seems that there still is an issue reloading charts for me. I just tried it and all of the premarket tick bars just got replaced with one fat red candle which is not correct.

Hello swisstrader,

There are no viruses in the updater. Please disable your anti virus to install it.
