Portfolio real time forward testing

Postby waveslider » 14 May 2024

Hello -
I am trying to use Free Quotes to get real time (or delayed) data into Portfolio trader for forward testing. This is a strategy that trades sends orders for next bar execution on daily bars.
I am not getting updates on the forward testing window, and open positions are reflecting prices from yesterday's close.
Data server mode is online, and from: to: data range is updating to real time.
How can I show live updates to open positions?
Thanks

Hello waveslider,

Free Quotes is free end-of-day historical daily bars coming from Yahoo Finance. It doesn't provide real-time data so it is expected that the charts and portfolio will not update automatically.
In order to request historical data anew, you need to reload the charts via View → Reload.
