Recover Studies?

My operating system was overwritten. Luckily I still have my original MultiCharts folder. However I wasn't able to export my studies prior to this OS change. Is there a way to extract/salvage my studies if I still possess the MultiCharts folder? I tried to copy and paste this folder in place of the newly created MultiCharts folder (created after new install) but the studies were not there.

Am I SOL?

Thanks

there are 2 folders... don't know which one you are referring to.

Program folder
it is located in
c:\program files\TS Support\

User files
This is where the database and indicators are stored.
see above link for detail.

Yes, that is my reference to the MultiCharts folder.

c:\program files\TS Support\MultiCharts

You said:

All MultiCharts related user files (data/studies/workspaces) are located here:

VISTA & Windows 7
C:\ProgramData\TS Support\

Ok, I have one sub folder there, \MultiCharts.

Therefore, I copied that entire folder and dropped it into the new operating system at the correct file path.

Either I don't understand what you're saying to do or you didn't read my original post correctly. I don't have the luxury of going back in time and exporting the studies. But if they get stored in the above mentioned file path, is there a way to recover them?

yup... that's it.
Just copy the directory over to the new location
and MC will be able to read all your previously saved indicators.
