MultiCharts: Trading Software for Automated Trading and Backtesting

Does MC work through Direct X? I am trying to decide whether a new set of video cards with Direct X support is worth the investment to speed up MC, or whether I can use an old Matrox QID card without losing performance.

Please advise.

We're not using DirectX for rendering charts; on the other hand, the more video memory you have, the better.
