There are 2 requirements for creating Depth of Market window in MultiCharts:

  • Depth of Market data should be supported by a data feed and you should be subscribed to it.
In some cases, (e.g. Interactive Brokers), if there is no subscription to Depth of Market data, the best Bid and best Ask may be used to plot only 1 level in the DOM window in MultiCharts.
  • The data feed must also be a supported broker in MultiCharts.
If a data vendor provides Depth of Market data, it is impossible for a customer to have the DOM window using its data in MultiCharts, because it is not a broker.

DOM can be created in MultiCharts using the following data feeds/brokers:

Starting from MultiCharts 15 it is possible to create a Depth of Market window using IQFeed and Barchart data sources.
In order to create a DOM window please make sure you are subscribed to the Depth of Market data from these vendors and then follow these steps:

  1. Create a new Paper Trader broker profile.
  2. Set it to IQFeed/Barchart Data Source.
  3. Open a new DOM window.
  4. Select Paper Trader as a broker profile.
  5. Choose a desired symbol.
