If you have an ASCII file with data, there are two ways to use it in MultiCharts: ASCII Mapping and ASCII Import.

Data is not imported into the database. When data is plotted, MultiCharts reads it from your file. |
Data is imported into the database. You’ll see imported values in the Edit Data menu. |
If your file was modified, the data on charts will update accordingly. | If your file was modified, you’ll need to import it again to update the values in the database. |
It’s possible to map multiple symbols at the same time. | Data for each symbol should be imported separately. |
For more info and guides check the ASCII Mapping and Importing Data pages.
