You can set the rule that will indicate the last day when an options or futures contract is valid.
Adding Expiration Rule
- Open QuoteManager.
- On the Tools menu, click Expiration Rules, or click the Expiration Rules icon on the toolbar.
- Click the Add button.
- Enter the Expiration Rule name in the Name field.
- Select the number and type of the days that the contracts come into effect.
- Select the rule that will set the benchmark date for the contract expiry.
- Click the OK button to save the changes.
Editing Expiration Rule
- Open QuoteManager.
- On the Tools menu, click Expiration Rules, or click the Expiration Rules icon on the toolbar.
- Select the Expiration Rule you want to edit.
- Click the Edit button.
- Change the number and type of the days that the contracts come into effect.
- Change the rule that will set the benchmark date for the contract expiry.
- Click the OK button to save the changes.
Removing Expiration Rule
- Open QuoteManager.
- On the Tools menu, click Expiration Rules, or click the Expiration Rules icon on the toolbar.
- Select the Expiration Rule you want to delete.
- Click the Delete button.
