Data saved in your database can be exported to a text file (ASCII) or a .qmd file (MultiCharts data format).

How to export data

Exporting into QMD

To export data into a .qmd file (MultiCharts data format):

  1. Open QuoteManager
  2. Select a symbol or multiple symbols (see Selecting Symbol(s) in Symbol list section).
  3. Click FileExport DataExport Selected or All Instruments in QMD file; or click the Export Data button on the toolbar.
  4. Select necessary options
  5. Click Next
  6. Enter the name of the *.qmd file and choose the path where it will be located.
  7. Click Next
  8. Click Finish.

Exporting into ASCII

To export data into an ASCII file:

  1. Open QuoteManager
  2. Select a symbol or multiple symbols (see Selecting Symbol(s) in Symbol list section). The program always uses the symbol's Price Scale when exporting.
  3. Click FileExport DataASCII , or click the Export Data button on the toolbar.
  4. Select Resolutions and Fields.
    Data will be exported into separate files for each resolution and quote field.
    You can click Check all button to select all resolutions and quote fields.
    If you click Uncheck all button, all previously selected fields and resolutions will be unchecked.
  5. Check / uncheck the Export symbol box to export / not to export symbol name.
  6. Check / uncheck the Export description box to export / not to export symbol description.
  7. In the Time Expressed in menu select a time zone for the quotes date/time.
  8. Check / uncheck the Export milliseconds check box to export / not to export millisecond data.
  9. To select the time period for exporting data, set the Start Date/Start Time and End Date/End Time.
  10. To change column order, drag and drop columns to desired places.
  11. Select the File type for exporting data.
    Available file types are Text files(*.txt), ASCII files (*.asc), Comma-separated values(*.csv).
